Abstract
A wall plug power adapter is integrated direct-plug AC-DC power unit converting mains to stable DC. The wall plug power adapter uses multi-stage EMI filtering and output LC network to minimize conducted, radiated noise and output ripple. This wall plug power adapter covers EMI bands, peak-to-peak ripple and noise spectrum parameters for audio and precision measurement devices.

1. EMI Filter Circuit Architecture
The wall plug power adapter uses two-stage EMI filtering on input side: X capacitor and common-mode inductor for differential mode noise, Y capacitor and common-mode inductor for common mode noise. The wall plug power adapter adds NTC inrush resistor before rectifier bridge, reducing both startup surge and high-frequency noise injection to grid. The wall plug power adapter sets RC snubber on switching node to suppress electromagnetic radiation from switching spikes.
2. Key EMI Band Parameters
Conducted emission of the wall plug power adapter meets EN55032 Class B from 150kHz to 30MHz with 6dB margin. Radiated emission of the wall plug power adapter meets Class B at 10 meters from 30MHz to 1GHz with at least 8dB margin. In the critical 1MHz to 30MHz band, common-mode noise attenuation of the wall plug power adapter exceeds 40dB, preventing interference to nearby radio receivers.

3. Output Ripple Suppression Parameters
The wall plug power adapter output uses low-ESR electrolytic capacitors in parallel with high-frequency ceramic capacitors, plus ferrite bead to form an LC filter network. Peak-to-peak output ripple of the wall plug power adapter is controlled within 100mV at 20MHz bandwidth; low-noise variants reach 60mV. High-frequency switching spikes of the wall plug power adapter are suppressed by RC snubber, preventing audible noise in downstream audio circuits.
4. Dynamic Load and Transient Recovery
When load steps from 25% to 75%, output voltage deviation of the wall plug power adapter stays within 5% with recovery time under 500μs. During load step, the wall plug power adapter shows no oscillation or overshoot, ensuring stable digital circuit operation. Ripple and noise of the wall plug power adapter meet specs at full, half and no-load states without exceeding limits under varying load.
5. Value of Low-Noise Design for Sensitive Devices
Low ripple output of the wall plug power adapter is critical for audio decoders, precision sensors and medical monitoring equipment. Excessive ripple of the wall plug power adapter causes audible background noise in audio gear or sampling drift in sensors. The wall plug power adapter measures ripple with oscilloscope for every batch before shipment to ensure consistency.

Conclusion
Multi-stage EMI filtering and low ripple output of the wall plug power adapter deliver clean power supply for noise-sensitive electronic devices. If you need low-noise version of the wall plug power adapter, contact Simsukian for ripple test waveforms and samples.
