Abstract
A USB charger can be custom-developed with four independent USB-A outputs for centralized charging in hotel lobbies and guest rooms. This USB charger has per-port current limiting so a fault on one channel leaves others functional. Port isolation, per-channel limit and thermal rise matter most. This article describes multi-output topology, load and burn-in testing for ODM commercial USB charger projects.

1. System & Port Electrical Specs of the USB Charger
ODM custom commercial 4-port USB charger accepts 100–240V AC, 50/60Hz, total rated 20W, four USB-A ports each 5V/2.4A. The USB charger implements separate per-port current limiting up to 2.4A. Output voltage 4.75–5.25V, per-channel ripple ≤120mV. Full-system efficiency ≥88%, total standby <0.07W. Each port uses D+/D- resistor detection for mobile devices. It adopts conventional silicon-based SMPS, mature and stable for long continuous commercial operation.
2. Port Isolation & Load Behaviour of the USB Charger
The four outputs of the USB charger are isolated. Short-circuit on one port shuts only that channel; remaining ports keep running. The USB charger handles unbalanced load combinations without global voltage drop. After all devices unplugged, the USB charger enters low standby power.

3. Thermal & Commercial Reliability of the USB Charger
Optimized component layout spreads heat. Continuous full-load operation limits housing temperature rise to 42K. The USB charger includes global OTP to throttle total power when hot. V0 flame retardant PC housing. Burn-in test runs 6 hours full four-port load at 40℃ with per-channel monitoring. ESD ±8kV contact, ±15kV air.
4. Certification & Hotel Applications of the USB Charger
This custom USB charger meets IEC62368-1, and CE, FCC, RoHS certifications can be applied. Used for hotel rooms, airport lounges and co-working desks. ODM options include custom housing and logo printing, adjust total power and per-port ratings.
