Abstract
A wall plug power adapter is integrated direct-plug AC-DC power unit plugged into wall sockets. The wall plug power adapter passes wide-temperature aging and thermal cycling tests for reliable cold start. This wall plug power adapter covers cold start voltage, full-load temperature curve and thermal threshold parameters for cold-climate outdoor terminals.

1. Wide-Temperature Design Background
When exported to Nordic and North American regions, the wall plug power adapter faces large indoor-outdoor temperature differences in winter; non-sealed installations may drop well below freezing. Without cold start verification, the wall plug power adapter may fail to boot, drift output voltage or crack components. The wall plug power adapter uses wide-temperature capacitors, low-temperature MOSFETs and cold-resistant housing to ensure reliable operation across the full temperature range.
2. Cold Start Technical Parameters
After soaking 4 hours at -10℃, the wall plug power adapter cold-starts within 1.5 seconds with output voltage deviation within ±5%. The wall plug power adapter minimum cold start temperature reaches -20℃, with stable full-power output after boot. Cold start of the wall plug power adapter is verified at both 115VAC and 230VAC input to ensure reliable startup under different grid conditions.

3. Full-Load Temperature Rise Curve
At 25℃ ambient full load until thermal equilibrium, the wall plug power adapter average housing temperature rise is about 35K, with maximum surface temperature under 60℃. Internal power device temperature of the wall plug power adapter rises rapidly in the first 30 minutes and stabilizes after 60 minutes. At 40℃ ambient full load, housing of the wall plug power adapter stays under 75℃, meeting touch-temperature safety limits.
4. Thermal Protection and Derating
The wall plug power adapter embeds NTC thermistor; output cuts off automatically when internal temperature reaches 110℃. The wall plug power adapter auto-recovers output once temperature drops below 80℃ without manual restart. At 50℃ high ambient, the wall plug power adapter automatically de-rates to 70% rated power to prevent thermal breakdown.
5. Thermal Cycling and Damp Heat Tests
The wall plug power adapter passes 50 cycles of -20℃ to +70℃ thermal cycling, 2 hours per cycle, with no output drift. The wall plug power adapter survives 96 hours of 40℃ and 93% relative humidity damp heat test, with stable insulation resistance and hipot performance. Housing of the wall plug power adapter shows no cracking or deformation after thermal cycling.

Conclusion
Wide-temperature start and controlled temperature rise of the wall plug power adapter meet long-term stable operation requirements for cold-climate outdoor equipment. If you need wide-temperature version of the wall plug power adapter, contact Simsukian for temperature test reports and samples.
